2023 Record Store Day releases will be for sale in person at Del Bravo record Shop, 554 Historic Old Hwy 90 W, San Antonio, TX from 9am  Saturday April 22nd. There will be no holds or reservations with all RSD product sold on a first come first served basis.

Located on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, the Ash Grove was opened by Ed Pearl in 1958. Over the next 15 years, the club became a nexus of interaction between older folk and blues legends, and a new generation of developing musical acts. 

This eight-song, never-before-released set was recorded at the legendary Ash Grove Club in Los Angeles over the Blue Summit weekend (with Freddie King and Lightnin' Hopkins) July 27 - August 1, 1971. This concert performance by Muddy Waters, captured two years before the club closed, finds the Mississippi bluesman in fine form. Joined by an all star band, including pianist Joe Willie "Pietop" Perkins, Waters delivers spirited renditions of songs that helped lay the foundation for blues music.

The show was recorded not long before his infamous London Sessions recordings. That album was one of his six Grammy-winning Traditional Folk recordings throughout the '70s.

Rock and roll hall of fame inductee Muddy Waters is one of the most important singer-songwriter/guitarists of the post-modern blues era. His early 1960s touring of the UK inspired many British musicians including the Rolling Stones that took their name from his classic song, "Rollin' Stone".
