We are thrilled to share with you a project that has been close to our hearts and is now ready to be unveiled – our brand-new, culturally rich T-shirt design in collaboration with the talented artist, Ricardo Cazares!
As we present this artwork to you, we are not just unveiling a T-shirt; we are unveiling a piece of our heart and soul, intricately woven with the rich tapestry of our heritage and the essence of Del Bravo Record Shop.
Each card on our Loteria shirt tells a story, a story that resonates with the culture that defines us – the culture of Del Bravo Record Shop, San Antonio Music Publishers, DLB Records, and our cherished family. Allow me to take you on a journey through the vibrant elements that make this design so special:
El Maestro, symbolizing our beloved father Salome Gutierrez, is a tribute to his musical legacy, with El Bajo Sexto, the guitar he passionately played.
Historic Old Hwy 90 stands proudly, embodying the roots of our journey.
El Gato Negro pays homage not only to our record shop cats but also to one of Salome's most renowned songs.
The 45 on the shirt holds a special place, commemorating the recording of "El Gato Negro" sung by the legendary Flaco Jimenez on the DLB Record Label.
The cassette, a nostalgic nod to our record shop, where we have been selling these timeless treasures for years.
La Diamante shines brightly, representing our mother, Diamantina, the diamond of our lives. El Alamo stands tall, proudly declaring our roots in the heart of San Anto.
The accordion, an emblem of pure Tejano Conjunto music, speaks to our dedication to preserving this rich musical tradition.
