Los Cardenales de Nuevo León is a regional Mexican music group from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, that was formed in 1982. They specialize in the norteño style and have been a key figure in the genre ever since. Their albums have been successful in both Mexico and the United States, and they have won several major awards in their home country, including Grammy Latinos, Billboard, oyE!, and Furia Musical. In 2008, Don Chayo, a member of the band, was also awarded a Golden Star by the governor of Nayarit.
