Since 1978, Los Arcos Hermanos Peña has captivated fans with a sound that melds hardcore conjunto with the classic influences of Relampagos Del Norte. Known for their fiery accordion, rich vocal harmonies, tight rhythms, and intricate bajo sexto work, this family band has earned their place in the hearts of fans across the country.
Their journey began with their first recording in 1979 as Los Arcos Del Norte on Joey Records. Since then, they’ve released over 25 albums across various labels and collaborated with notable artists like Toño Zamora, Crystal Tarango, and the late, legendary Cornelio Reyna. In the 1980s, they rose to fame with hits like “El Borracho Del Año,” a track that held its position at #1 on Mexican-American charts for an impressive 48 weeks and earned their album Una Carta Y Un Clavel gold certification with over 50,000 copies sold worldwide.
In 2020, Los Arcos Hermanos Peña was inducted into the Tejano ROOTS Hall of Fame in Alice, Texas, where their performance brought down the house. Their dedicated fan base extends to nearly every state, and they continue to tour nationwide and beyond.
In 2024, the band proudly introduced a new generation of Peñas, carrying the family legacy forward for years to come:
- Jerry Peña – Accordion and Vocals
- Fabian Peña – Bass and Vocals
- JJ Peña – Drums and Vocals
- Isaac Aguilar – Bajo Sexto
